Dreams Poem by Langston Hughes

Rating: 4.2

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.

Let me guess you want others to die just because you're so unhappy with your life you feel no one else should be happy either.

Dreams are the basis of all exploration inside as well as outside. Whatever the man has achieved, the starting point, invariably were dreams. Great poem.

This poem abour dreams is a bit depressive or cold and I could see literary techniques such as personification in you said dreams die and also imagery when you said hold dreams and that hold is the sense of touch.

Very poetic, but also very powerful words to be read and lived. Top Marks!
