Trees Poem by Joyce Kilmer

Trees

Rating: 4.2

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Sublimely beautiful and so simple... real elegance with words. No wonder she's a master!

So simple, so beautiful. I'm not really a nature man but I'll tip my hat next time I pass a tree.

Every single word is Perfect! Every time I read it, I cry. Just can't get over the beauty and intense love and poetry that in its verses never dies
