' A Grown-Up Child Poem by Tsira Gogeshvili

' A Grown-Up Child

Rating: 3.1

A poet is a grown-up child, anyhow,
He couldn’t compose, otherwise…
A poet is an adorer of queerness,
A bit - willful, a bit - precise…

“Hunting is a game of chance, ”
We’ve forgotten that well-known phrase,
And we must remember that kids
Are forbidden to play such games.

..we had to give up our crayons..our kites..our sand pails at the beach...all of our favorite toys..but we reserved the right to play with words and created our secret vocabularies unbeknownest.right under their noses...good for us! !

So true and so well stated. I like, I like! And I see a good many others agree. Read mine - A Writer's Dilemma - Adeline

Perhaps poets retain some of the innocence of children and feel free to say what they thinks M lady
