Critical Thinking-77 Poem by Dr Dillip K Swain

I don't know why God has
Placed me here alone?

My beloved wife prefers to
Stays at my in-laws house
Because her college is just five kms
Away from her house.

I have given her liberty to stay there
As it's so difficult on her part
To make 100 Kms up down
To visit me daily

My only son is 100 Kms away
From me at his work place!

Though I love them so much
But time has placed us apart!

Still I have to complete
A few years before my superannuation.

How can I pass my time?

Sometimes, I don't like
The kind of foods that my
Cook prepares for me

Quite a few times I skip my dinner
But I pretend my wife
To have taken food!

Why do I pretend?

I pretend just to give her a sound sleep!

I think deeply that
If God has put me alone
There must be some purpose!

This is life!

I know this selfish world,
So I don't spend my time
In unproductive ways!

I don't feel lonely
As I write something in my spare time daily!

I think critically,
And I feel as if my wife and my child
Are always present with me
Because I do something creative
Constructive and productive...
