After All (Based On The Struggles Of The Palestinians) Poem by Heba Shariff

After All (Based On The Struggles Of The Palestinians)

We happily lived in our own place,
At the same time they desperately needed one,
While they needed,
Why did they invade us after all?

It was originally ours first,
But they emerged somehow and colonized us after all.

Friendship was handed to us all,
What are they doing now after all?

The partition within ourselves,
Made them seem we are becoming weak after all.

We did just once for all your attacks,
But you almost constantly destroyed us after all.

Many of us were stuck under debris,
But as many couldn't come out, they died after all.

Basic needs of supplies were cut,
No electricity, no water, no food too after all?

Our land, people and even our families, were bombarded in front of our eyes,
But still no pity after all?

They mistook that victory was theirs,
But the support worldwide was almost like the victory after all.

Let's have humanity,
And end this destruction and share it equally after all.

Come on let's shake our hands and stop hatred, keeping a peace treaty,
And let peace remain between us after all.
